Sound
The music, with the exception of the white noise in the menu, were both taken from the fab library. The youtube videos for both are linked in the post. I used the FPS menu music for the basic world theme, establishing a cold, dark atmosphere, and the cyberpunk music for when you're being attacked.
The rain and thunder effects were both taken from Pixabay. One of my favorite aspects of the thunder noise was the slight delay after you see the lightning strike. I added this to make a more realistic lightning effect.
The final thing I want to touch on here is my voice lines at the beginning. I am playing the part of a resistance leader speaking over comms. With adobe audition, I was able to lower the pitch and sound quality of my voice, to make myself sound like a battle-hardened veteran of this hellish world.
